Are you an experienced leader with a passion for seafood processing and quality control? Golden Ocean Fish Pte Limited is seeking a dynamic Fish Processing Manager to oversee our processing operations in Fiji. As the Fish Processing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation of our processing facilities while maintaining the highest standards of product quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in fisheries, food science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Proven experience in fish processing management or a similar role, preferably in the seafood industry.
• Strong knowledge of fish processing techniques, equipment, and quality control standards.
• Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
• Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and demands.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP principles.
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English; knowledge of Fijian languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of fish processing operations, including receiving, sorting, cleaning, filleting, and packaging.
• Develop and implement processing protocols and procedures to optimize efficiency and ensure product quality and consistency.
• Supervise and train processing staff to perform their duties effectively and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Monitor production schedules and allocate resources to meet production targets and customer demands.
• Implement and maintain strict quality control measures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and customer specifications.
• Coordinate with other departments, such as logistics and quality assurance, to streamline workflow and resolve any operational issues.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations, conducting regular inspections and audits of processing facilities.
