We are currently seeking a skilled Painting Tradesperson to join our team at Geelong Galvanizing Pty Ltd. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in applying protective coatings to steel structures, ensuring durability and longevity.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Painting Tradesperson or similar role
• Proficiency in surface preparation techniques and painting application methods
• Knowledge of different types of paints, coatings, and their properties
• Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Relevant certifications or licenses (e.g., painting qualifications) preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming as necessary
• Apply paint or protective coatings using various techniques such as brushing, rolling, or spraying
• Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment
• Inspect finished surfaces to ensure quality and adherence to specifications
• Maintain equipment and tools in good condition
• Collaborate with team members to achieve project deadlines and objectives
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues regarding project requirements and progress
