As a Sushi Chef, you will play a key role in crafting high-quality sushi dishes using the freshest seafood and ingredients available.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a sushi chef or sushi cook in a high-volume restaurant or sushi bar.
• Strong knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, including knife skills and sushi rolling.
• Passion for seafood and a commitment to using fresh, high-quality ingredients.
• Creativity and attention to detail in designing visually appealing and flavorful sushi creations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present a variety of sushi and sashimi dishes according to established recipes and standards.
• Ensure the highest quality and freshness of ingredients by sourcing and inspecting seafood and other necessary components.
• Creatively design sushi platters and rolls, incorporating innovative flavors and presentation techniques.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi bar and kitchen area, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate orders and ensure timely delivery of sushi dishes to customers.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or special requests.
• Stay updated on current food trends and techniques to continuously enhance culinary skills and offerings.
