As an Aquaculture Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our aquaculture operations to ensure sustainable production and environmental stewardship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in aquaculture, marine biology, fisheries science, or related field.
• Proven experience in aquaculture operations management, preferably in a commercial aquaculture facility.
• Strong knowledge of fish biology, aquaculture systems, and water quality parameters.
• Familiarity with relevant aquaculture regulations and industry standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of aquaculture production, including fish farming, hatchery operations, and grow-out facilities.
• Develop and implement best practices for aquaculture management, including feeding regimes, water quality monitoring, and disease prevention.
• Conduct regular inspections and assessments of aquaculture systems to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with research institutions and industry partners to stay informed about emerging trends and technologies in aquaculture.
• Monitor and analyze production data to optimize efficiency, minimize waste, and maximize yields.
• Train and mentor aquaculture staff on proper techniques and procedures for fish husbandry and facility maintenance.
• Participate in community outreach and education initiatives to promote awareness of sustainable aquaculture practices.
