Qualifications

• Natural born Filipino Citizen
• 18-49 years of age (or it depends to employer’s requirements.)
• Bachelor’s degree in Health and Safety Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
• Professional certification in health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is highly desirable.
• Previous experience in health and safety engineering, management, or related field, preferably in the energy, chemicals, or resources industry.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices, particularly in the UAE.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and environmental stewardship.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.

Job Responsibilities

• Developing, implementing, and maintaining health and safety policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with local regulations, international standards, and company guidelines.
• Conducting risk assessments, hazard analyses, and safety audits to identify potential risks, hazards, and areas for improvement.
• Providing technical expertise and guidance on health and safety matters to project teams, managers, and stakeholders.
• Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and contractors to integrate health and safety requirements into project plans and activities.
• Conducting safety training sessions, workshops, and drills to promote awareness and compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
• Investigating incidents, accidents, and near misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of health and safety programs and initiatives, and implementing continuous improvement measures as needed.
• Maintaining accurate records, reports, and documentation related to health and safety activities, incidents, and compliance.
• Keeping abreast of emerging trends, regulations, and best practices in health and safety management, and recommending updates and enhancements to existing programs and policies.
